Heart True Providers
Providers at Heart True Psychotherapy are mentored in a style of care that honors the complexity of healing. We hold a steady commitment to trauma-informed support, somatic wisdom, and emotional resilience. We hold values in being LGBTQI+ affirming, Neurodivergent knowledgable, and body neutral through a HAES approach. Our work leans into curiosity that invites reflection and growth. Services are provided to clients in New York, Pennsylvania, and Maine.

Ingrid Pipes (They/She) is the practice founder, who believes therapy should be a place where you feel both understood and gently challenged, where your identity is affirmed and your story is honored in all its complexity. Their work is grounded in relational trauma care, neurodivergent-affirming frameworks, and a respect for queer and marginalized experiences. They also mentor the providers on our team and other emerging therapists, who bring their own unique presence while learning to offer care that is thoughtful, curious, and supports for change. This practice exists to hold space that feels real, rooted, and radically supportive. Read more about their style and trainings here.
Outside of Heart True Psychotherapy, Ingrid is the lead organizer of 518 Fatties Social Club, and has been a Fat Liberation activist for over a decade. They've been been published in the NY Post, Huffington Post, and Bustle. Check out their advocacy projects here.
